This is a Japanese manga series that is written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima. The story follows the adventures of Natsu Dragneel, a member of the popular wizard guild Fairy Tail, as he searches the world of Earth-land for the dragon Igneel.
This manga was adapted into an anime series that is produced by A-1 Pictures, Dentsu Inc., Satelight, Bridge, and CloverWorks and it began broadcasting in Japan on October 12, 2009. Besides that A-1 Pictures has developed nine original video animations and two animated feature films. Fairy Tail was so popular that it inspired many spin-off mangas.
The world of Earth-land is home to many guilds where wizards apply their magic for paid job requests. Natsu Dragneel explores the kingdom in search of his missing adoptive father, the dragon Ingeel. On his journey, he finds many adventures, and he befriends a young celestial wizard named Lucy Heartfilia.

Ezra Scarlet is a core member of Team Natsu. She has a fearsome and serious personality but is also extremely loyal toward her comrades.

Mirajane has an ability, Satan Soul which allows her to control bodies of demons. She doesn’t think that she is human, and she has very complex feelings that make her very aggressive. But she can also be relaxed and cute.
Cana Alberona
She is an S-Class mage and the daughter of Gildarts Clive. She’s very determined about Fairy Tail guild goals – except when she drinks. Cana loves to drink alcohol and has such a high tolerance for it so she can drink a lot.
Wendy Marvell
Wendy Marvell is a dragon slayer, a role that allows her to use a variety of offensive and healing abilities. She is fearless but she also lacks confidence in herself. But her friends help her to find that confidence.
Mavis Vermilion
Mavis is the founder of the Fairy Tail guild, and she interacts with the rest of the guild via her psychic abilities, but her body is in a coma for decades. She used Grand Magic to save guild co-founder Yuri Dreyar’s life when she was only 13. And as a consequence of that, her body stopped aging. Her body still looks like she is 13 but she is 118 years old.
Lucy Heartfilia
She is one of the lead members of Team Natsu. She is a celestial and she uses celestial magic, but she uses them with respect to the celestial spirits who serve her and with compassion. She is a very passionate girl, she loves books and she even writes a book about her experiences with the Fairy Tail guild.
Juvia Lockser
She is a former member of the Phantom Lord Guild, and she first struggles to become a member of the Fairy Tail guild. She manages to do that and she becomes friends with the members, especially with Gray Fullbuster, and she falls in love with him. She uses water magic that allows her to create water cyclones and transfer her own blood into someone else’s body.
Levy McGarden
Levy has been with the Fairy Tail guild since she was 11 years old, and she is very loyal to the guild, and she respects every member. She is a mage and she leads Shadow Gear, a group of mages within the guild. She is very cute and cheerful, and she is nice even to those who did her harm.
